"Thanksgiving" Wine Picks

Happ

France - Pommery Champagne

France- "Peach, lemon, grapefruit, biscuit and some honey on the nose. Creamy and round with a juicy, peachy and lightly off-dry palate. Sleek bubbles. One third each of chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier.

Italy - Castellana Trebbiano

Italy's most popular white varietal, this bottle is light and crisp, with refreshing citrus flavors. Nothing makes a better accompaniment to lighter fare such as salads and poultry. The perfect choice for that everyday cool glass of wine.

Pairing - Sweet Potato Pie

Pairing - Cheesy Macaroni & Cheese

Portugal - Warre’s Optima Tawny Port

Portugal -There's good intensity here, with a racy hazelnut edge alongside the core of singed walnut, sesame, toffee and cinnamon notes. Offers a focused, dry edge through the finish.

Chile - Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon

Chile - The common feature of all the vintages from this producer is the ripe fruit, fresh aromas, and a supple, full-bodied structure. This wine has a sparkling ruby red color and a pleasantly fruity nose with aromas of black cherries, raspberries and plums, all with a hint of spice. This is a silky, flavorful wine, with a supple tannin structure.
